Project for an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition presents a collection of metamorphic rocks.
The objective was to create a poster, brochure, and digital screens representing the collection. Incorporating different photographic, illustrative, graphical, and typographical representation throughout each part to keep a common aesthetic. I was able to use different Adobe CC programs such as lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to test my abilities.
The final design is minimalistic to bring in the metamorphic rock simplicity. The design was founded on a grayscale that allowed the user to connect back to the rock itself. The subtle topography pattern in the background allows for the connection to the geographical features of where the rock may have been sourced from. While the mark lockup is right and structurally sound which reflects the topic itself.
