Lamp
A continuation of a previous personal project that was sketched in my freshman year at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. This functioning lamp consists of acrylic and wood featuring a Quasar light that illustrates the surrounding.
Design Plan
The idea was to make something that pulls the viewers attention in while still being functional. It all started off as rough sketches, which led into Rhino renderings. The process was to get every part of the lamp digitally made for the laser cutter. After the final rendering, the process of putting it together started.
Final result
Through different fabrication tools such as laser cutting and 3D printing, the creation took form. It resulted in a minimalistic lamp that lights up the room with conversation.
